Klaye Coleman, LCSW

Klaye Coleman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and New Mexico who keeps things real, relaxed, and genuinely supportive. She grew up in the country and has always stayed close to her San Angelo roots, which shows in the way she works with people — no judgment, no pressure, just honesty, compassion, and a space where you can be yourself and understood.

Klaye earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology in 2013 and her Master’s in Social Work in 2021 from Angelo State University. She became licensed in Texas in 2024 and later obtained licensure in New Mexico, enabling her to serve clients across both states who seek a therapist that feels relatable and genuine rather than clinical or distant.

She has supported clients in schools, the judicial system, community mental health, and psychiatric hospitals, working with people facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use, domestic violence, self-esteem challenges, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and various psychiatric conditions.

Klaye is known for being caring but straightforward. She’ll tell you the truth, kindly, clearly, and without sugarcoating, but she’ll always deliver it with compassion and respect. She’ll sit with you through the hard parts, and works to reinforce clients’ resilience, confidence, and sense of self, ensuring they recognize their own strengths throughout the therapeutic process. Her approach blends person-centered care, strengths-based work, and solution-focused strategies along with other modalities to help clients understand their patterns, challenge what’s holding them back, and build healthier ways of coping.

Klaye is especially committed to empowering teens and young adults to find their voice, identify their capabilities, and continue moving forward even during periods of significant stress or emotional overwhelm.

Klaye joined West Texas Counseling and Guidance and Permian Basin Counseling and Guidance in 2022. She is based on the 9th floor of the Cactus Hotel and provides telehealth services for clients in New Mexico.
